    Firewalls Around... Love...

    By Kevork Kalayjian

If I only knew that what I write will only be seen by you
I would have expressed myself utterly differently
If the feelings I describe will only be felt by you
I would narrate them in a different vocabulary
If the song I sing will only be heard by you
My song will be in a completely different melody
I will patiently wait for the day
When only your ears will be next to my whisper.

But in this age of digital thought and mega-pixeled emotions
I know that my ideas and feelings are hacked already!
There are no firewalls in my heart
To protect the fire of love and its destiny.
